City of Healdsburg : Financial Statements

The Finance Department is responsible for coordination of the annual audit and the preparation of the audited annual financial statements for the City and the Redevelopment Agency. A Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) is prepared for the fiscal year beginning July 1 and ending June 30. A general timeline for the financial statement audit and preparation is as follows:

The fiscal year ends on June 30
During July to October, the annual books are closed, the audit is conducted, and various required reports are filed with the State Controller’s Office
During November and early December, the CAFR is prepared
In the later portion of December, the CAFR is printed and distributed
Following the distribution of the CAFR, the City Council performs a review of the financial statements
